From The Winter Den

A gold-toned hard enamel pin based on cemetery imagery from New England gravesites. "Death's Heads" were common on gravestones in the Puritan era in New England, in the 17th and 18th centuries, where religious imagery was not common. Instead, the grim skull with wings was used as a Memento Mori.

A great gift for lovers of gothic aesthetics, Halloween and fall lovers, or those who just want a little spooky accent in their lives!

  • Hard enamel pin
  • Approx 1.5 Inches tall
  • Two pin posts with rubber backings, to prevent spinning
  • Gold-toned metal with black enamel

The Winter Den is a collection of pins, jewelry, and paper goods inspired by nature and cozy wintry aesthetics. The pieces are created by nonbinary artist A. Szabla. A. Natalie B. ★★★★★

The gold-tone really catches the light and makes the skull details pop, which I wasn't expecting from a hard enamel pin. It feels sturdy on my jacket lapel, and the historical reference to New England gravesites is a cool conversation starter.

Sofia ★★★★★

I pinned this to my bag and the dark enamel against the gold really brings out that grim 17th-century look. It's got a nice weight to it, not flimsy at all.

Joseph ★★★★★

The gold tone is really crisp and the detail on the skull is surprisingly sharp for such a small pin. I put it on my jacket collar and it’s been getting compliments all day long.
