2. Position the sticker with the hinge method: Peel the backing halfway down the sticker. Place the exposed half on the surface, then slowly peel the rest while smoothing with a credit card or squeegee. This prevents the sticker from folding or sticking to itself.
3. Smooth from center outward: Use a squeegee or your thumb to press from the middle toward the edges. Work out any air pockets as you go. Pushing from the edges inward traps air.
4. Final press and check: Go over the entire sticker with firm pressure. Check for bubbles under bright light. If you find a small bubble, press it toward the nearest edge. Leaving a bubble unchecked can cause peeling later.
